Rebeckah Carey - the woman challenging perceptions of apprenticeships

Rebeckah was diagnosed with a neurological condition, through a departmental eye test, shortly after joining the Civil Service and had to undergo emergency brain surgery. Now adjusting to living with a lifelong medical condition, she is relishing the challenge of the Civil Service Fast Track Apprenticeship.

Liz-Ann joined the Civil Service from private practice earlier this year and enjoying a role which allows her to make a difference for people's lives. She is also very passionate about improving gender equality and works to increase the number of women in Digital, Data and Technology roles.

Helen started her career in the charity sector but is now at the Department for Transport, communicating Government priorities for aviation. But her work does not stop there. She is also part of the Government Communications Service Shadow Board and is a board member for Women in Transport.
